Conscious travel, what does it mean for us? CptnZeppos offers the possibility to travel slowly on board cargo ships without increasing your ecological footprint. We find it important to communicate this transparently and have therefore made a list of relevant data here.
1. Goods transport
When we compare the transport of goods between airplanes and cargo ships it becomes clear that the slower way of transport via the cargo ship is the least polluting.
2. Release
Cargo ships also have emissions. Shipping companies are investing massive amounts of money in innovation in order to limit their emissions to a minimum, for example by installing scrubbers. In addition, they are investigating alternative energy sources.
3. Cabin
CptnZeppos lets its passengers travel in freestanding cabins, they hitchhike, as it were, on a cargo ship (not a passenger ship) that focuses on its cargo. This makes our way of travelling eco-friendly.
